This week our young person and staff member at Lint House created their very own sensory box, with bits and pieces that were found around the home.
This activity was completed as part of a debrief as one of the adults at Lint House likes to be creative, in how they talk about their feelings and emotions with the children.
As part of this activity they lay craft items on the table, and they asked each other which item they felt would represent certain feelings, such as, anger, pain, sadness, as well as, joy, happiness and love.
The young person and staff member found this very interesting as it was good to see how different people perceived these feelings.
This reminded us that we all feel emotions in different ways.
The sensory box is now located in the home’s dining room for all at Lint House to use, should they need to.
